Just Ordered the Nintendo Wii
If you are an intrepid gamer and have a need to purchase every new gaming platform that comes along, well the Nintendo Wii sure looks like a must have.

Over the years we have purchased the playstation, PS2, gamecube, gameboy and gameboy advance, and have enjoyed playing each and every platform. Each has its endearments and games we love, especially the ones where you can play against each other.

Never got an xbox - never really felt the burning desire to have one.

But this latest gadget looks really great and the reviews have been very supportive. So armed with all the research off we went to Myer and have pre-orderd the Wii for delivery on 7 Dec 06.

Will keep you posted on what we think of it.

Bangkok Shopping Complexes
Bangkok has absolute extremes of shopping. You can take a trip to Chatachuk market where the products range from live animals to clothing and costume jewellery or you can shop at the huge shopping malls which sell all of the most expensive items including the hottest cars.

Shopping in Hong Kong
We found that the shopping in Hong Kong is great but only for window shopping. The prices were on a par to Australian prices so it wasn't really worthwhile doing a lot of shopping there. We did manage to pick up some electrical products like palm pilots and ipods which were a lot cheaper than back home in a shop in Nathan St.

What did we buy at Chatachuk market?
We spent probably half a day at the market. It is quite tiring because of the heat so unless you can find somewhere to sit and take a break you normally just want to get back to your hotel to take a break.

Our goal was to buy jewellery for our business but although we did buy some it wasn't in the quantities we were looking for. We had better luck at Chinatown.

We did manage to get some fashion cuff watches for only 99baht each which was a bargain.

Chatuchak Markets
This is one market that is not to be missed when visiting Bangkok. It is a huge market filled with just about any product you can think of. With around 15,000 stallholders to choose from you are sure to find a bargain.

Just be prepared for a hot humid day of walking and jostling with the crowds. We went at one of the hottest times of the year and it can be tiring. Take plenty of water with you and try to go early in the morning when it is the coolest.
